Divadlo Lab

Divadlo Lab je divadlo, ktoré má za cieľ prezentovať divadelné produkcie študentov Divadelnej fakulty rôznych ročníkov.
Študentské divadlo vzniklo z iniciatívy poslucháčov herectva v roku 1998 a dlhé roky pôsobilo v komornom priestore Štúdio Kaplnka, ktorého názov aj donedávna nieslo. Po presťahovaní sa Slovenského národného divadla do novej budovy v roku 2007, uvoľnené priestory Malej scény získala Vysoká škola múzických umení pre potreby výučby a prevádzky študentskej scény. Tri roky sme v tomto priestore úspešne pôsobili.
V roku 2010 bola postavená nová budova Divadelnej fakulty VŠMU, súčasťou ktorej je aj divadlo - Divadlo Lab.Na chode divadla sa podieľajú študenti všetkých odborov Divadelnej fakulty a odborný technický personál školy. Lab je divadlo - blackbox s kapacitou 136 miest na sedenie.

Theatre Lab is a student theatre space which presents a regular programme of theatre productions by students of the VŠMU Faculty of Theatre.
The venue is the result of an initiative by performing art students in 1998. Before that time they acted in Studio Kaplnka, but when the Slovak National Theatre moved to its new building in 2007, the building they vacated was set aside for teaching and student productions organised by VŠMU. Students of all branches of the Theatre Faculty along with the specialised technical staff of the School participate in the operation of the theatre.
In 2010 the new Theatre faculty building was build, part of which is also theatre - Theatre Lab.
